Eugene Anthony Kulakowski, age 77 of Portage, IN, passed away on May 19, 2019 at his home.  He was born on May 2, 1942 in Nanticoke, PA to Aloysius and Irene Kulakowski, both of whom preceded him in death.

On September 1, 1962 in Chesterton, IN, he married Angelyn (Kamaski) Kulakowski, who survives in Portage, IN. 

He is also survived by his loving children: Donna Lee (Mark) Friedland of Wanatah, IN, Lisa Ann (Gerald) Roth of Lowell, IN and Kevin Kulakowski of Newark, IL; his grandchildren: Allison and Austin Friedland, Alexandra (Tony) Trichak and Michael Kulakowski; his great-grandchild, Beckett James Trichak; his siblings, Thomas Kulakowki of Spring Valley, IL and Cheryl (Steve) Ford of Durham, NC; his sister-in-law, Donna Thornton of Valparaiso, IN; his brothers-in-law, Al (Bette) Kamaski of Chesterton, IN and Jerry Kamaski of Palm Springs, CA; and by his many nieces and nephews.

He is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Marie Goodwin in 2004.

Eugene proudly served in the United States Army for 12 years.  He was a member of the American Legion in Portage, IN and was the Terminal Manager at Air Products in Burns Harbor, IN for many years.

Arrangements are under the care of White-Love Funeral Home, Chesterton, IN.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Angie and Family, I am so sorry to hear of this. Donna called and told me. Please except our sincere condolences to you and your family from mine. He was always so nice to me and the boys. I know he will be deeply missed!
