Richard Erow Jr

       Richard Erow Jr., age 78 of Chesterton, IN, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on January 12, 1946 in Argos, IN to Richard and Bernice (Brokus) Erow, both of whom preceded him in death. 

       On November 12, 1964, he married the love of his life, Susan (Spencer) Erow, who preceded him in death on May 18, 2021.  

       He is survived by his loving children: Tammi (Rick) Davidson of Anderson, IN and Ken (Jamie) Erow Sr. of Chesterton, IN; his treasured grandchildren: Baylee (Joseph) Rodriquez of North Carolina, Griffin (Mady) Davidson of Anderson, IN, Ken (Jenna) Erow Jr. of Utah, Grace Davidson of Anderson, IN and Reece Erow of Alaska; and by his sister, Teri (Don) Rumsey of Three Rivers, MI.

       In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, he was also preceded in death by his beloved son, Kevin Erow on October 16, 1996; his brother, Alan Erow; and by his sister, Marilyn Staton. 

       Richard was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church. He was an Engineer at Bethlehem Steel for 37 years, and also taught business classes at Purdue University North Central. He and his wife loved traveling and were able to visit 49 states.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

       Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 12 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN, with Father Jon Plavcan officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
