Donney M. Steber Sr.

       Donney M. Steber Sr., age 89 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024.  He was born on April 29, 1934 in Low Moor, VA.

       He is survived by his loving children: Marie (Joseph) Butz of Manteno, IL, April Tubbs of Lafayette, IN, and Don (Rhonda) Steber of Valparaiso, IN; his six grandchildren; his three great-grandchildren; and by his sister, Maybeline “Polly” of Highland, IN.  

       In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Flora Steber on April 10, 2022.

       Donney proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed oil painting and gardening in his free time.  

       Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11 a.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, Chesterton, IN.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
