 Muriel Maxine Boo passed away on January 5, 2019. She was born in Porter, IN on July 15, 1925. Her parents were Carl and Mildred Wilson. She graduated from Westchester (Chesterton High School) in 1943. On July 31, 1943 at Augsburg Lutheran Church, she married David Arvid Boo. They were blessed to spend 63 years together.

Maxine served many years as Financial Secretary and Treasurer at Augsburg Lutheran Church. She was an active member all her life. She cherished her church, her family, and her friends. She was employed for 10 years at Baur’s Ben Franklin variety store in Chesterton as cashier and was known as the “Candy Lady” to all the “young” shoppers.

M. Maxine is survived by 3 sons, David C. (Cathy) Boo, Homer Glen, IL, Donald (Francis) Boo, Davie, FL, and Daniel A. (Cindy) Boo, Kouts, IN; 9 grandchildren, David (Dianna) Boo, Scott (Sherrie) Boo, Joe (Marie) Boo, Eric Boo, Kellie (Chris) is Pozil, Brandon Boo, Aaron (Samantha) Boo, Rachael Boo, and Sarah Boo; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Douglas Arvid Boo, and sister Doris Burke.

A Memorial Service will be held at Augsburg Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Augsburg Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of White-Love Funeral Home, Chesterton, IN.

Maxine was my first friend when I moved to Chesterton. A beautiful person and she will be missed. Sympathy and love her family. Pat Amodei
