William J. Mshar Jr.

       William J. Mshar Jr., age 46 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on June 6, 2021 in Valparaiso.  He was born on December 30, 1974 in Hammond, IN to William J. Mshar Sr. and Susan (Falgier) Mshar.

       He is survived by his loving parents; his siblings: Rebecca (Justin) Oprish of Oregon, Jason Mshar of Chesterton, and Jennifer (Ricardo Cervantes) Mshar of Chesterton; his niece and nephews: Jeremy, Kayla, Liam, and Jose; and by his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

       William was an incredibly kind and generous man.  He would often go out of his way to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a member of the IBEW Local 531 Electrician’s Union, and was also active in the NJATC, where he taught in the apprentice program. The Chicago Black Hawks was his favorite team of all-time, and he rarely missed a game. He loved music, and especially loved playing his guitar.

       A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.  The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Please feel free to wear your Black Hawks gear or come just as you are.

Per the family’s request, masks are mandatory at all times inside the funeral home.  Thank you for your cooperation.
