William E. Allen

       William E. Allen, age 78 of Goshen, IN, formerly of Chesterton, IN, passed away on December 10, 2022. He was born on July 7, 1944 in Martinsburg, WV to Foster E. and Margaret (Rhodes) Allen, both of whom preceded him in death.

       He is survived by his loving children, Kathi (Barry) Hughes of Michigan City, IN and Todd (Becky) Allen of Valparaiso, IN; his five grandchildren: Tabitha (David) McNeilly, Joshua (Brittany) Hughes, Melissa (Kauner) Allen, Emilee Allen, and Abigail Allen; his great-grandchildren: Brian, Reese, Bennett, Bruce, Brett, and Koah; and by his sister-in-law, Gail Fowler.

       In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan; and by his brothers, Skip and Bobby. 

       Bill proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as an E-5 Sergeant. He was also given two Meritorious Service Awards. He was a huge West Virginia fan. Go Mountaineers!

We rejoice in the knowledge that we will see him again as he claimed Jesus as his savior.  I Thessioans 4:13-18

       A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 12 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
