Vivian B. (Monroe) Scaggs

       Vivian B. Scaggs, age 89 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on May 6, 2026.  She was born on July 16, 1936, in Rochester, IN.  

       She is survived by her loving son, Harry Scaggs of Chesterton, IN; her grandchildren; and by her sister, Barbara Hayes of Rochester, IN. 

       She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Edmond Scaggs in 1970, her beloved children: Irene, Teresa, and Connie; and by her sisters, Julie and Doris.

       Vivian devoted her life to taking care of others.  She was especially honored to take care of her aunt. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

       Services will be announced.
