Dr. Victor D. Diamond, age 89 of Westville, IN, passed away on August 27, 2024 in the comfort of his home. He was born on December 14, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY to Benjamin and Dorothy (Weinberger) Diamond, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving sons, Douglas Diamond of Westville, IN and Daniel Diamond of Lafayette, IN; and by his loving sister, Betty Diamond of Madison, WI.
In addition to his parents, Victor was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace Irene (Neuliep) Diamond on December 25, 2021.
Victor spent decades as Chief Psychologist of the Westville Correctional Center and its predecessor, Beatty Memorial Hospital, treating the mentally ill with great dignity, care and commitment to their rehabilitation through behavioral therapy. A talented painter, Victor's landscapes and portraits of people and pets brought great joy to friends and family for decades.
A rock-solid supporter of family, Victor was also known for going above and beyond to help family members in need. Victor's love for his beloved wife "Gracie" of 58 years, his quick wit and their willingness to help, will be fondly remembered.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 1 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
