Trina Denise Schoof

       Trina Denise Schoof, age 61 of Michigan City, IN passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023.  She was born on April 9, 1962 in Gary, IN to Linda Minton Ivlow, who preceded her in death.

       She is survived by her children, David Swanson of Vancouver, WA and Sara Schoof of Knox, IN; her step-children: Melissa Will and Charles Schoof; her grandchildren: Kennadee, Calvin, Hannah, Gracie, Maddy, Zoey, Nolan, Bethany, and Jackson; her great-grandchild, Brayden; her brothers, John (Karen D’Aloisio) Kruper of Valparaiso, IN and Erik (Jamie) Kruper of Chesterton, IN; her former husband, Paul Schoof; and by her many nieces and nephews.

       In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Tessa Hamelman; and her brother, Tim Minton.

       Trina was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Michigan City.  She loved interior decorating.  In her younger years, she modeled for many different magazines and was also Miss Duneland.

       Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 4 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN with Father Kime officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday after the service until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
