Sylis J. Wilfinger

       Sylis J. Wilfinger, age 14, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born on January 21, 2009 and was the son of Leonard W. Wilfinger and Ashley Monique Rodriguez, both surviving.

       He is also survived by his siblings: Logan William Wilfinger, Aria Belle Wilfinger, and Reid Jordan; his biological father, Ronald (Codie) Jordan; maternal grandfather, Manuel (Angelic) Rodriguez; paternal grandfather, Leonard Wilfinger; paternal grandmother, Marianne (Terry) Friedercks; and by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

       He was preceded in death by his great uncles, Jim Laureano and Paul Quiroz; and his great-grandfather, Manuel Rodriguez. 

       Sylis was an 8th grader at Chesterton Middle School. 

       Private family services will be held at White- Love Funeral Home. 

       A public Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Chesterton Moose Lodge 1623, 602 Broadway Ave., Chesterton, IN, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
