The amazing and loving mother, grandmother, sister, sister in law, and aunt, Sue Edds, left us to join our Heavenly Father on Friday August 18, 2023. She is survived by her loving family of her daughters Debbie Edds and Diana (Edds) Turi, grandson Aleksander Turi of Maine, sister in law Virginia (Ginny) Defourneaux of Indianapolis, many nieces and nephews across the country, and Jack the Dog of Maine.
Sue had a career in teaching middle school before her longtime career in banking. She was incredibly active in the Chesterton Chamber of Commerce. She was awarded the 2002 Athena award for her multiple contributions to the community and was a strong longtime member of her beloved Chesterton United Methodist Church. She also had a passion for the game of Bridge and was on 3 different bridge groups that gave her great joy!
Sue has touched many lives and brought joy to so many, that the family is inviting anyone wishing to celebrate her life to join us at the Chesterton United Methodist Church, 434 S 2nd St, Chesterton, IN, on Friday, August 25th at 11 a.m. for a Memorial Service. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life in the Terry Rhine Hall until 1 p.m. For those who knew Sue, she would never want folks to “make a fuss”, so the family is hoping this Celebration of Life will be a chance to visit with Sue’s friends and family, share good memories, and celebrate the wonderful life of Sue Edds.
Professional arrangements are entrusted to White-Love Funeral Home, Chesterton, IN. Please share your wonderful memories with the family at: www.whitelovefuneralhome.com.
