Steven DePung

       Steven DePung, age 80 of Burns Harbor, IN, passed away on October 18, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 8, 1945, in Missouri, to George and Barbara (Stottlermyer) DePung, both of whom preceded him in death. 

       On October 19, 1968, he married the love of his life, Deanna (Davison) DePung, who survives in Burns Harbor, IN. He is also survived by his loving children: Rob McCorkel of Chesterton, IN, Shari (Michael) Sheppard of Chesterton, IN, Doug (Laurie) DePung of Arizona, and Scott DePung of Chesterton, IN; his treasured grandchildren: Mitchell Aaron, Keith DePung, Ryan McCorkel, Jacob DePung, and Madison Stickels; his adoring great-grandchildren, Jayden Lorenz and Aubrey Lorenz; his brother, Danny DePung; and by his sister, Connie Ramirez. 

       In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Babs, and his brother, David. 

       Steven proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was an Ironworker for Local 395 for many years and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2511. He was also a member of Abate for 40 years and a longtime member of the American Legion Post 502. He enjoyed fishing and was very patriotic.  He loved riding his Harley Davidson all his life, and especially with his wife by his side. 

       There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
