Stephanie J. (Zaparucha) Miller

Stephanie Jean Miller age 69 of Chesterton, IN passed away on Wednesday, March 18,  2020 after a 3-year battle with cancer. 

She was born on Oct 2 1950 in Gary, IN to Steve and Caroline (Drag) Zaparucha. Stephanie is survived by her husband of almost 50 years James T. Miller, and siblings Carol Goldsmith of Portage, IN; Mary Lou (Bob) Judis of Clarksburg, MD; Tim (Judy) Zaparucha of Burns Harbor, IN.

She is also survived by her 3 sons, Brent (Melinda) Miller of Evansville, IN; Michael (Jillian) Miller of Baltimore, MD, and Jeffrey (Maria) Miller of Chicago, IL and 4 grandchildren Emily, Erin, Dalen and Harper.

Stephanie graduated from Portage High School in 1968. She attended Vincennes University from 1968-1970 studying elementary education.  She was crowned Miss Portage in 1968 and Miss Vincennes University in 1970.

Stephanie worked as a park administrator, a school bus driver, a dining room supervisor at Sand Creek Country Club and a devoted wife and mother.

Stephanie enjoyed working in the yard and planting flowers.
