Shirley Cline

       Shirley Cline, age 86 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2022 in LaPorte, IN. She was born on April 13, 1936 in Porter, IN to Donald and Alta (Johnson) Lee, both of whom preceded her in death.

       She is survived by her loving husband Jerry Cline of Valparaiso, IN; her children: Tina Masson of Chesterton, IN, Lisa Masson of Fishers, IN, Lora Mastile of Porter, IN, Scott (Angela) Masson of Michigan City, IN, Stacy (Scott) Tharp of LaPorte, IN, Cara (Jeff) Wetzel of West Lafayette, IN, and Curt (Katie) Masson of Kouts, IN; her 18 grandchildren; and by her one great-grandchild. 

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Masson, who preceded her in death in 1978, and by her beloved son, Jeff Cline.

       Shirley was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Ladies’ Aid Society. 

       Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106 E 1100 N, Chesterton, IN with Rev. Erich Fickel officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. 

       The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.

       Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
