Sharon Lee (Harrell) Bruckman

       Sharon Lee Bruckman, age 74 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on July 2, 2024.  She was born on September 23, 1949 in Hammond, IN to Sylvan and Florence Harrell, both of whom preceded her in death.

       She is survived by her children: Donald Allard, Karen Allard, Jerry (Pam Greene) Allard, Mike Allard, Richard Bruckman, Kristie Bruckman and William Bruckman Jr.; her 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and by her siblings: Randy Harrell, Lynn (Mike) Stepanovic, and Sandy (Larry) Hampton.

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kerry-Ann Bruckman and sisters, Linda Bennett and Pamela Bowen.

        Sharon spent the majority of her life doing what she loved most, caring for her family. After her daughter passed away in 2006, she graciously took on the responsibility of raising Kerry Ann’s three young boys. When her eldest son Donald fell ill with Fahr’s Disease, she became his primary caregiver as well.

       Our Mother’s passing will forever leave a great absence in the hearts of her family and close friends. Her kind heart, loving demeanor and selflessness will live on through her children and grandchildren.

       No services will be held.
