Shannon Clark Kirkland

       Shannon Clark Kirkland, age 50 of LaPorte, IN died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Shannon was born on January 4, 1973, in Valparaiso, Indiana the son of Robert C. Kirkland and Linda Kay (Bishop) Kirkland.

       Shannon was employed as a construction worker for Tranco Industrial Services, INC. of Burns Harbor, Indiana and was a member of Operating Engineers International Local 150 of Countryside, Illinois.

       Shannon attended the Crossroads Baptist Church in Wanatah, Indiana. Shannon was a kindhearted, generous man and would try to help others whenever he could. He enjoyed the companionship of his two dogs Brutus and Riley.

       Shannon is survived by his father, Robert C. Kirkland, and other family and friends.

       Shannon was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Kay Kirkland on March 30, 2023, and his brother Bryan Kirkland on

March 20, 2000.

       Burial will take place at a later date at Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton, Indiana.
