Robert "Bob" H. Lange

       Robert “Bob” H. Lange, age 85 of Valparaiso, IN, went to his eternal home to live with Jesus on August 7th, 2023. He was born on August 18, 1937 in East Chicago, IN to Henry and Amelia (Link) Lange, both of whom preceded him in death.

       On July 9, 1960, he married the love of his life, Nancy (Timm) Lange, who survives in Valparaiso, IN.  He is also survived by his loving children, Michael Lange of Venice, FL and Deborah (Brad) Andersen of Valparaiso, IN; his treasured grandchildren: Laura, Daniel, Mackenzie, Grace, Grant, Faith, Jennifer, Jason, Andrew, and Alex; his numerous great-grandchildren; and by his sister-in-law, Lori Timm.

       In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved son, Robert, who went to heaven on December 8th, 2003; his sister, Lois; and by his brother-in-law, Ken Timm.

       Bob was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  He also worked at Inland Steel for 45 years. He was a janitor at St. Paul Lutheran Church for 10 years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making model airplanes.  He also loved trains. 

       Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106 E 1100 N, Chesterton, IN, with Rev. Erich Fickel officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service at the church.  Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. 

       Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
