Rebecca Weeks Obituary

Rebecca L. Weeks (nee Cline)

August 2, 1932 – June 9, 2024

Rebecca passed away peacefully on Sunday June 9th at age 91. She had a long and wonderful life, with  many stories to tell.  Her life experience provided her advice she shared with us all. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She had a distinctive laugh, sense of humor and a sharp mind all her years.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend Dale, her parents, Harry and Vina and all six of her siblings. She is survived by her children Scott (Gayle) and April (Leigh), grandchildren who she loved dearly, Vincent (Cheryl), Claudia, Sabrina, Allison (Kevin), Shaun, Garrett, and Eric (Caroline). Many beloved great grandchildren, very special nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Rebecca enjoyed time spent with family, cooking, traveling - especially to Florida, and was an avid reader. She loved board games, card games and particularly jigsaw puzzles. She also loved Jeopardy and had a strict no phone call policy when it was on.

She was a graduate of Griffith High School and spent most of her life in the Region as a homemaker and church volunteer, except for a few years living in Tampa FL where she developed many lasting friendships through church.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and volunteered there often.

She loved her Indiana and Florida church families.

We will miss her dearly, but we are glad she is at peace.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association.
