Peggy Lee Dickey, age 57 of Chesterton passed away on May 27, 2016. She was born on October 2, 1958 in Youngstown, OH to Leighton and Shirley Breedlove, both surviving in Austin Town, OH. On June 23, 2000 in Chesterton, IN she married Cary Dickey, who survives in Chesterton.
She is also survived by her son, Stephen Alan of Chesterton; her sister, Patty (Lee) Simeon of Poland, OH; her brother, Dale (Beth) Breedlove of Hudson, FL; and by her nieces and nephews: Anna Simeon, Lee Simeon Jr., Tracy Breedlove and Dominick Breedlove.
Peggy was a member of Fairhaven Baptist Church. She accepted Christ as her Savior and served Him faithfully for forty years. Her life verse was Psalm 27:1: The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
She also loved being a mother and wife. Peggy’s favorite hobbies included gardening, spoiling her cat, Kermit, and enjoying fellowship with friends of Fairhaven Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Fairhaven Baptist Church, 86 E Oak Hill Rd, Chesterton, IN 46304, with Pastor Steve Damron officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the “Jolly Sixties” of Fairhaven. Arrangements are under the direction of White-Love Funeral Home.
