Paul C. Jones

       Paul C. Jones, age 26 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on January 3, 2025, in Indianapolis, IN.  He was born on August 3, 1998, in Valparaiso, IN to Craig and Rachael (Page) Jones, both surviving in Chesterton, IN.  
       He is also survived by his siblings, Elisabeth (Chris) Ruge of Chesterton, IN and Jason Jones of Chesterton, IN; his niece, Shannon Ruge; his nephew, Evan Ruge; paternal grandfather, David Jones of Chesterton, IN; maternal grandmother, Bertha Page of Wisconsin; and by his aunts: Beth (Wes) York of Chesterton, IN, Vera Jones of Michigan City, IN, Cary Davidson of Wisconsin, and Hettie (Lu) Young of Wisconsin.  
       He was preceded in death by his brother, David Jones; maternal grandfather, Tom Page; his uncle, Nate Page; his great-grandmother, Gladys Jones; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Jones; his great aunt, LaVera Lambert; his great-great uncle, Paul Brown; and by his great-uncle, Bob Jones.
       Paul attended Heartland Christian Church, youth group at Open Bible Church and met with the Valparaiso Chinese Christian Association.  He went to Bible study every Saturday for the last four years. 
       Paul was a ten-year member of 4H and showed dairy cattle, rabbits, and his dog, Abby.  Starting at a young age classic cars and trucks caught his eye. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, even though he lived in a house filled with Bears fans. Hunting with his dad, bowling, walking at Coffee Creek Park, going to lunch with friends, and attending Bible study were some of his favorite pastimes.
       His niece and nephew loved watching Friday night WWE and sharing snacks together.  When he woke up singing country music in the morning, his family knew he was on the mend. He was an old soul who always connected with the older people in the room. The Porter County Fair held a special place in his heart, and he went every single day of every year.  
       He loved his dogs, Beau, Bean, Billy, and his new puppy he received as a birthday present, Maple.
Paul was an incredibly authentic and caring person and was a fighter to the end. He will be greatly missed.
       Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN with Pastor Bob Blair officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
