Nola Jane (Watkins) Hall

       Nola Jane Hall, 89, of Chesterton was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 24th, 2024. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Nola was born on April 4th, 1935 in Gary to Vivian (Harris) and Ozzie Watkins.

       On December 10th, 1955, Nola married Charles Hall Sr. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary before his passing in March of 2022.

       Nola worked as a bookkeeper at First State Bank of Porter, a bookkeeper at a Cope’s car center and a microfilm recorder at Imagamaxx before retiring in 2004.

       She was a proud member of Heartland Christian center. She served the Lord her entire life and volunteered as a bookkeeper at Chesterton Assembly of God, as well as volunteering at every church she attended.  She volunteered serving meals at Jacobs table until 2019.  She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Aunt.  She loved her grandpuppies; Joey, Finn and Abby. Her face lit up when they came to visit and they loved their Nana Hall.

       Nola is survived by her children; son Charles Hall Jr. of Chesterton, daughters; Karla (Ken) Biesboer and Rochelle Hawkins both of Chesterton. Grandchildren ; Curtis Fulton, Stephanie Hall (Andy), Nicole (Jason) Moloney, Charles (Ashley) Hall, Alisha Hall, and Tamara Hall. Great -grandchildren; Gavin, Taylor, Ben, Alexis, Gage, Dakota, Jarad, Sheyanne, Iain, Kaiti, Ocean, Brodie and Phoenix, sister Barb Brandt and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

       She was preceded in death by parents, her husband Chuck Hall, Sister Beverly Yocum, Brother Ozzie Watkins Jr., daughter; Joan Hall-Barbee, son-in-law, Butch Hawkins, grandsons Chad Hall and Joseph Biesboer.

       Visitation will be Friday, June 28th from 11-1 at White-Love Funeral home with a service starting at 1. Burial to follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
