Mildred Doherty Obituary

Mildred Doherty, age 97 of Chesterton, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Chesterton. She was born on October 22, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Therese Gutowski, both of whom preceded her in death.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Mary Housman of Chesterton; her grandchildren, Haley Housman of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Eric (Emily) Housman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and her great-grandson, Ethan Housman.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Doherty and by her two children, Patricia and Tom.
Mildred enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles, and loved talking politics. She was also a member of the Democratic Ladies. Mildred had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking with her family and friends. She also had a wonderful personality and never complained.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
