Mary Lou Fowler, age 61 of Westville, IN, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2020. She was born on July 21, 1959 in Valparaiso, IN to James Principe (Vesta), who survives in Niles, MI and Rose Tarnow, who survives in Valparaiso, IN.
On August 23, 1986 in Valparaiso, IN, she married the love of her life, Timothy Fowler, who survives in Westville, IN.
She is also survived by her loving daughters, Christina McClelland (Myka) of Lowell, IN and Sally Fowler of Valparaiso, IN; her treasured grandchildren, Leah and Connor; her sister, Patti Avaritt of Valparaiso, IN; and by her niece, Amy Davies (Paul) of Valparaiso, IN.
Mary Lou loved her family beyond measure. She played an active part in her daughters’ lives, and especially loved helping with their Girl Scout activities and Ballet Performances. Some of her favorite family memories included traveling around the world, especially to the Cayman Islands and Paris, France, which were her favorite areas. She also loved spending Christmas in Florida with her family. One of her favorite hobbies was spending time with her treasured grandchildren, who will fondly remember her as “Gia.” She loved crocheting, being a thirty-one consultant, wine tasting, and girls’ trips.
A private family visitation and graveside service will be held this week.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Pink Ribbon Society.
