Mary E. (Bishop) Coleman

       Mary E. Coleman, age 96 of Porter, IN, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1929 in Chesterton, IN to Bernard and Mary Bishop, both of whom preceded her in death. 

       She is survived by her loving daughter, Nancy (Kenton) Young of Porter, IN; her treasured grandsons, Andrew (Carly) Young of South Bend, IN and Timothy (Annette) Young of Pingree Grove, IL;  her adoring great-grandchildren: Kenton, Amelia, Nolan, and Noah; and by her many nieces and nephews. 

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melvin Coleman. 

       Mary was a devoted member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. 

       A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Chesterton Cemetery.
