Mary F. (Carlisle) Carlisle

          Mary F. Carlisle, age 67 of Chesterton, IN, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2020 at Chesterton Manor. She was born on July 8, 1952 in Valparaiso, IN to Erle H. Carlisle, who preceded her in death on September 29, 1977, and Miriam J. Carlisle, who preceded her in death on October 10, 2009.   

          She is survived by her loving sisters, Sharon E. Tesh of Chesterton, IN and Patricia D. Carlisle (husband, Edward Popkoski) of Bradenton, FL; her nephew, William J. Tesh (wife, Jonetta) of Demotte, IN; her niece, Terri Tesh of Chesterton, IN; her great-nephew, Derick Tesh of Wheatfield, IN; her beloved aunt, Mary H. Hill and her family; and by many aunts and cousins.  

          She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, William H. Tesh on July 17, 1995. 

          The family would like to thank all who loved Mary. Aunt Mary Helen Hill and family were especially kind and loving to Mary over all this time.  Thanks so much. Thanks also to the many people at Chesterton Manor, formerly Waters of Duneland, who cared for her during the nearly 20 years she resided there. 

          Mary was very intelligent, had a good sense of humor, and will be sorely missed. She lived bravely while in pain.  May she be forever at peace now.  

          A private Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday at Chesterton Cemetery with Father Nate Edquist officiating. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of the family and the community at large, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
