The oldest of two children, Mary grew up in Liberty Township. She graduated from Chesterton High School in 1985 and then attended Vandercook College of Music in Chicago Illinois where she majored in Cello. Mary worked at several large corporations and hospitals as Director of Food and Beverage. Mary loved living near the water. Lake Michigan was a favorite spot for her to sit and reflect. For a short time she lived in Los Angeles, California and fell in love with the colors and majesty of the ocean. Mary enjoyed visiting Craft Breweries both near and far with friends Tim and Gena Howard. Mary was a life long fan of The Beatles and George Harrison. She adored Elvis Costello. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks - especially Andrew Shaw. She absolutely loved everything to do with Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones and Deadliest Catch. Her favorite book was Margaret Mitchell’s Gone With The Wind.
