Marlene Dueease, age 85 of Porter, IN, passed away on May 30, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 12, 1940, in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Mary Korus, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving sons, Bryan Polka of Texas and Mike (Jacqueline) Polka of Porter, IN; her treasured grandchildren: Mason Polka, Vaughn Polka, Molly (Scott) Hale, Luke (Stephanie) Polka, and Grace (Aidan) Sheagley; and by her adoring great-grandchildren, Henry and Lucy Hale.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Korus.
Her greatest accomplishments were her two boys she raised alone. She was an incredibly strong woman who worked in a male dominant world. She loved to ski in Colorado.
