Mabel Alta Urbon

       Mabel Urbon, age 95 of Chesterton, IN passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 15, 1926 in Strathcona, Minnesota to Hogan and Carrie (Sampson) Bergerson, both of whom preceded her in death.
       On October 26, 1946 in Chicago, IL, she married the love of her life, Stanley Richard Urbon, who preceded her in death. 
       She is survived by her loving children:  Lauren C. Mache, Dawn H. Duty, William Richard Hogan Urbon, Robert Urbon, and Barbara Roller; and by her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
       She was also preceded in death by her nine siblings.
       Mabel won many awards, both locally and nationally, because of her amazing quilting skills. 

       A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.
