Lorian Sarah Beard (Schoch)   

Lorian (Sallie) Beard, 86, of Chesterton, IN passed away suddenly on February 26, 2026.

She was born December 30, 1939, in Paris, IL, the daughter of the late Walter Schoch and Lorian Schoch (Waldo).

Along with her parents, Sallie is preceded in death by her 3 older brothers Ted, Stephen and David Schoch, her loving husband of 35 years William E Beard and Daughter Shirley L Pefley (Beard).

Sallie was a loving mother and wife and enjoyed sewing, bowling, swimming and reading. She is survived by her son and Daughter-in-law Gary S Beard, Deborah Beard (Todd) of Chesterton, IN, her daughter and Son-in Law Linda D Munson (Beard), Eric C Munson of Camden, SC, and four grandchildren Scott Beard, Rachel Beard, Daniel Pefley, and Shelby Pefley. 

No services will be provided.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to either National MS Society, Breast Cancer Foundation or American Heart Association.
