Lorene June (Gland) Kamaski

       Lorene June Kamaski, age 99 of Lowell, MI, formerly of Porter, IN, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2021 in Lowell, MI. She was born on January 1, 1922 in Terre Haute, IN to Antonio and Nellie (Fallon) Gland, both of whom preceded her in death. 

       She is survived by her loving son, Robert J. Kamaski; her loving daughter, Susan M. Wiggins; her granddaughter, Kimberly Kamaski McCord; her great-grandchildren: Isabelle McCord, Marley McCord, and Gavin McCord; and by her sister, Charlotte Stetler.

       She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Kamaski, on December 2, 2001; her son, Roger D. Kamaski, on June 6, 2012; and by Lillian Bartlett, Grace Soztez, Mary Jane Holt, Walter Gland, William Gland, Louis Gland, and James Gland.

       Lorene was a devoted wife and Mother, who truly taught us the meaning of sacrificial love!  

Her wonderful wit and lovely personality warmed and delighted all who knew her.  Her smile lit up the room!  To know her was to love her.  We are so grateful to have enjoyed so many years with her. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are comforted knowing that she is truly home for Christmas this year with our Lord and her loved ones in heaven.  

       A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N Calumet Road, Chesterton, IN.  Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. Masks are highly recommended inside the funeral home.
