Linda "Sis" Rinker

       Linda “Sis” Rinker, age 75 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on August 30, 2025, at her home.  She was born on August 5, 1950, in Michigan City, IN, to Hartcel “Bud” and Dorothy (Witt) Rinker, both of whom preceded her in death.  
       Sis is survived by her nephew, Fred (Laurie) Rinker; nieces: Michelle Rinker, Rebecca Rinker (Sean Hessler), and Kellie Rinker; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Evan Rinker, Elizabeth (Danie) Maysonet, Soren Rinker, Finn Hessler, Devan Kiaser, and Lucas Kiaser.
       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frederick Rinker Sr. and Guy Rinker.  
Sis was a huge fan of all IU sports.  She went on several archaeological digs and loved finding Indian artifacts.
She was an animal lover and enjoyed traveling.  
       A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Chesterton Cemetery.
