Linda Vogedes

       Linda Vogedes, age 53 of Burns Harbor, IN, passed away suddenly on April 17, 2021.  She was born on January 28, 1968 in Valparaiso, IN to Alfred and Janice (Rosentrater) Vogedes, both of whom preceded her in death.

       She is survived by her loving children: Brooke (Francena) Kuhn of Wanatah, IN and Erik Allen of Chesterton, IN; her brothers, Dan (Diane) Vogedes of Michigan City, IN and Randy Vogedes of Michigan City, IN; her nephews, Casey and Dylan Vogedes; her niece, Ashley Vogedes; and by her long-term significant other, Wally Young of Chesterton, IN.  She also leaves behind her first grandchild, baby Kuhn, who will arrive in December.  Words could not express how excited she was for the news of her first grandchild’s arrival. 

       She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. 

       Linda fostered many friendships while working at The Coach Lite and Village Tavern. She loved going to baseball games, listening to live music, and would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. Linda adored her cats: Molly, Ravin, Karma, Fuzzy, and Oliver. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, and partner.

       A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Leroy’s “Hot Stuff,” 333 U.S. 20, Porter, IN.
