Leo J. Wiesinger, age 88 of Chesterton, IN, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025. He was born on June 26, 1936, in Leavenworth, KS to Carl and Goldie (Cunning) Wiesinger, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving children: Leo Wiesinger of Lake City, FL, Michelle (Larry) Kehoe of Mishawaka, IN, Carolyne (John) Wiesinger of Chesterton, IN, Jennifer (Tim) Pauwels of Lake City, FL, Paul (Debbie) Wiesinger of South Bend, IN, Heather Wiesinger of Mishawaka, IN, and David Wiesinger of South Bend, IN; his many treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings: Patricia (Claude) Wiesinger, Barbara (John) Gee, Carol Robertson, and David Wiesinger; and by his beloved companion, his bird Mojo.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne and by his brothers and sisters.
Leo proudly served his country in the United States Army as a guard and cook. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, cooking for every holiday, gardening, and loved joking with his family and friends. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
