Leland Dan Andersen “Lee” age 49 of Chesterton, IN, passed away suddenly on December 28, 2021. He was born on February 17, 1972 in Pittsburgh, PA to Lawrence Andersen, who preceded him in death and Mary (Johnson) Andersen, who survives in Chesterton, IN.
On September 13, 2013, at Hawthorne Park, he married the love of his life, Amy (Wolgemuth) Andersen, who survives in Chesterton, IN. He is also survived by his loving daughter, Madelyn Andersen of Tampa FL; his siblings: Lance (Tonya) Andersen of Boxborough, MA, Leslie (David) Nickerson of New Braunfels, TX, and Lori Clarke of Conroe, TX; his father-in-law, Keith Wolgemuth of Redlands, CA; his mother-in-law, Karen Wolgemuth of Nashville, TN; and by his beloved fur baby, Porter.
Chef Lee was famous for spoiling his friends and family with his delicious cooking. He and his wife loved to entertain a crowd, especially on NFL Sunday’s to watch The Bronco’s. He thrived on laughter and making others laugh with him. He also loved antiquing and collecting unique treasures to display. He was a loving family man, and that family included all of his friends as well.
No services will be held at this time.
