Lawrence E. Grennes

       Lawrence E. Grennes, age 79 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on October 12, 2024.  He was born on June 13, 1945, in Gary, IN to Joseph and Josephine (Wisz) Grennes, both of whom preceded him in death.  

       On November 13, 1971, he married the love of his life, Donna (Treadway) Grennes, who survives in Chesterton, IN.  He is also survived by his loving son, Ryan (Josie) Grennes of Monticello, IN, and by his treasured granddaughters, Clara and Ella.  

       In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Grennes Sr.

       Larry attended Bishop Noll High School. He proudly served his country in the National Guard. He was an accountant at the steel mill for 54 years. He was an avid bowler and car enthusiast.  In his free time, he enjoyed going for walks.  Larry will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

       No services will be held at this time.
