Lawrence M. Eiden Sr.

Eiden, Lawrence M. Sr, 12/3/1944 – 07/02/2022 Chesterton, IN.  

       Larry, 77, passed away July 2, 2022.  Larry is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of almost 57 years, Rosemary; his children Lawrence S. of Jackson, MI; Michelle of Ann Arbor, MI; Sharon of Jackson, MI; Stephanie of Chesterton; grandchildren Justice, Liberty, Lawrence M. II, William, Freedom, Peace; his three siblings.  

       Larry was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence F. and Mary Eiden.  

       Born in Lorain, OH, Larry graduated from Admiral King High School.  He completed an associate degree at Lorain School for Technicians (LCCC) in 1965 in its first year, later completing his bachelor degree at Cleveland State University in 1978.  He served in the army in South Carolina and continued in the army reserves.  He enjoyed working as an engineer, and finished his career at Caterpillar.  Larry loved spending time with his family, emailing and teaching his grandchildren board games.  He attended hundreds of school music concerts, sports games, and award ceremonies.  He was the designated chauffeur for paper routes, college trips, and family vacations.  He was proud of his children and grandchildren.  Larry and Rosie extended their love to foster babies in Ohio.  Larry was a member of St. Patrick parish. He truly will be missed.  

       No services will be held.

       The family would like to thank the many angels with VNA Hospice for their loving care, at home and the last two days in the facility.  The family would also like to thank all the family and friends who have reached out in this sad time.
