Lauren M. Rentas

Lauren M. Rentas, age 32 of Chesterton, IN, passed away suddenly on April 26, 2022.  She was born on April 9, 1990 in Hammond, IN to Kathleen (Kooistra) Allen and Joseph Rentas, both surviving.

Lauren is also survived by her beautiful daughter, Mya Taylor of Chesterton, IN and Mya’s father, Tony Taylor; Her Aunts: Deb (Bob) Wills of Arizona and by her cousins: Louis Wills, Leah Wills (Missy Bleak); Dawn (Mark) Nemelka of Tennessee and by her cousin Anthony Castiglia; Her step-sister, Amber Norris of Chicago, IL and her step-brother, Russell D. (Patricia) Allen of Evergreen Park,IL.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nana and Papa Kooistra, and by her step-father, Richard J. Allen (passed on March 15, 2022).

Lauren loved her daughter Mya with all her heart, was forever devoted to her and will endlessly watch over her.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Lauren may be given to her treasured daughter, Mya.
