Larry Henry Obituary

Larry Dale Henry, age 68 of Chesterton, IN passed away peacefully on December 14, 2019.  He was born on September 4, 1951 in Greensburg, IN to Austin Henry and Barbara (Wells) Eddy, both of whom preceded him in death. 

On April 29, 1972 in Columbus, IN, he married the love of his life, Mary (Eicksbush) Henry, who survives in Chesterton, IN. He is also survived by his loving son, Kyle (Rachel) Henry of Chesterton, IN; his grandchildren: Rilee and Shane; his sister, Shirley (Al) Smith of Buckeye, AZ; his brother, Doug (Dee) Henry of Columbus, IN; his sister-in-law, Glenda Henry of Columbus, IN; and by his many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Henry.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army, and he was stationed at the Porter Nike Missile Base. He devoted over 30 years of his professional life to the banking industry. He was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for many years.  He enjoyed golfing, yard work, and attending his grandchildren’s baseball and softball games.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106 E 1100 N, Chesterton, IN with Reverend Erich Fickel officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. 

Memorial donations in honor of Larry may be given to the Porter County Cancer Society, 410 Lincolnway in Valparaiso, Indiana 46383.
