       Kathy Edquist Balog was born February 1, 1953 in Chicago, IL. Her Christened name was Kathleen Gail Edquist.  Kathy died on April 11, 2020. Eric Edquist was born on May 31, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN.  His Christened name was Eric Jon Edquist.  Eric died on January 4, 2024.

        Kathy and Eric Edquist are the grandchildren of Rev. Bertil Reinhold Edquist Sr. and Julia Elvira Edquist. Rev. Bertil Edquist Sr. was the Lutheran Minister at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Chesterton, IN from 1929-1941. They are survived by two brothers, Bertil Reinhold Edquist III (Becky) of Hamlet, IN and David Alan Edquist (Vicki) of Lakeville, MN.  Also surviving are nieces, Breanna Rebecca Reed (Justin) and Breita Ruth Edquist (Nick), and nephew Ryan David Edquist.

       A Memorial Service for Kathy and Eric will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11 a.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, Chesterton, IN. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Furnessville Cemetery, 278 E 1500 N, Chesterton, IN.
