Joseph A. Slont

       Joseph A. Slont, age 44 of Chesterton, IN, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2025. He was born on August 10, 1980, in Valparaiso, IN to Thomas Slont who preceded him in death and Bonnie (Rich) Haddon who survives in Portage, IN. 

       He is also survived by his significant other, Heather Lloyd of Chesterton, IN and by his daughter, Ellee Slont of Chesterton, IN. 

       In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Slont. 

       Joe was a longtime employee of Johnson Excavating. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the National Rifle Association. 

       A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 1 p.m. at 17 E 950 N, Chesterton, IN.
