John Jacob Zaideman Jr.

       John Jacob Zaideman Jr., age 71 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away suddenly on March 12, 2021. He was born on August 26, 1949 in Gary, IN to John J. Zaideman Sr. and Violet C. (Gerhardt) Zaideman, both of whom preceded him in death. 

       On October 8, 1977 in Crown Point, IN, he married the love of his life, Clara L. (Kimmel) Zaideman, who survives in Valparaiso, IN. He is also survived by his loving children: Christina (Michael) Burch of Porter, IN, Eric Zaideman of Portage, IN, Nicole (Shawn) Pauley of Chesterton, IN, and Matthew (Diana) Zaideman of Valparaiso, IN; his seven treasured grandchildren; three adoring great-grandchildren; and by his sister, Joan Dowdle of Portage, IN.

       He was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Rogers.

       John was a member of ABATE Motorcycle Club. He was an avid bowler for many years. He also loved relaxing with a good cup of coffee. One of his favorite hobbies was playing practical jokes on everyone. 

       Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 4 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. 

Masks must be worn at all times inside the funeral home and social distancing is mandatory at all times.  Please abide by floor markings for social distancing and be prepared to possibly wait in line outside the funeral home.
