John Rader Jr. Obituary

 John M. Rader Jr., age 36 of Porter, passed away on May 21, 2018. He was born on June 10, 1981 to John M. Rader and Linda Rader, both surviving in Porter.


He is also survived by his children: Jolie Marie Rader, John Michael Rader III, James Matthew Rader, and Jennifer Helen Rader; his brother, Tim Rader of Valparaiso; his aunts and uncles: James Radcliffe, Clara Radcliffe, Pat Rader, Rose Karbowski, Joe Rader, and Julie McMeans; and by many cousins.


He is also preceded in death by his grandparents: Lora and John Rader and James and Bertha Radcliffe.

John worked as a Boilermaker for Local 374. He also belonged to the Roofer’s Union Local 26. John loved the outdoors. He enjoyed shooting, hunting, camping, and hiking. He especially loved camping with his children.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton, IN. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.


Memorials may be given to John’s children. Donations can be left at White-Love Funeral Home. Please make checks payable to Linda Rader.
