Jeffrey R. Wolfe, “ReeBee,” age 80 of Chesterton, IN, passed away suddenly on August 4, 2025. He was born on May 23, 1945, in Erie, PA to Tracey and Kathleen Wolfe, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving children, Jeffrey (Tawnia)Wolfe of Chesterton, IN and Kathleen Wolfe-Eckert, of Chesterton, IN; his treasured grandchildren: Houston Wolfe, Riley Wolfe, Cole Wolfe, Luke Wolfe, Christian Eckert, and Aaron Whiteman; his great-grandchildren: Quinn Wolfe and Hailey Wolfe; his sister, Penny Hyndman of Fort Myers, FL; his many, many good friends; and by his former wife, Carol Magill of Chesterton, IN.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved sons, David and Mark; his beloved granddaughter, Emma Grace Eckert; and by his former wife, Bonnie Pheanis.
Jeff lived his life to the fullest, and loved his family deeply. He never met a stranger in life, only ever a future friend. He was top salesman at Xerox for much of his adult life before he started his own recruiting firm being self employed at “Quality Search”. Jeff was an avid photographer, yachtsman, sailor, fisherman, hiker, cyclist, and so much more. He loved cats, classic cars, the Dunes, and the Wolfe Pack Hiking club which he founded and hiked with nearly every morning. He was a huge trivia and movie buff and enjoyed reviewing movies with his movie club. Most of all, “ReeBee” cherished spending time with his family, cheering them on and supporting them, more than anything else in this world.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN, with Rev Erik Bernth officiating.
