Jeffrey Paul Zweig

       Jeffrey Paul Zweig, age 73, of Chesterton, IN, passed away on June 20, 2026. He was born on April 23, 1953, in Gary, IN, to Phillip and Anne (Sadja) Zweig, both of whom preceded him in death.

       On May 13, 1978, he married the love of his life, Marilyn (Kirtland) Zweig, who survives him in Chesterton, IN. Together they built a life filled with love, devotion, and cherished family memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

       Jeffrey is lovingly survived by his children, Kasandra (Adam) Tenbarge of Chesterton, IN, and Jeffrey Zweig II of Hobart, IN; his treasured grandsons, Adam and Grayson; and his siblings, Robert Zweig of Hickory Hills, IL, and JoAnn Bethel of Portage, IN.

       A man of simple and genuine pleasures, Jeffrey had a passion for cars and took great pride in working on them. He found joy in the outdoors — tending to his yard and keeping his home in good order. He had a tender heart for animals of all kinds. On weekend mornings, he could often be found with the newspaper in hand, reviewing the news and never missing the Sunday comics, which he enjoyed collecting. Above all else, Jeffrey treasured time spent with his family, and his face truly lit up around his beloved grandsons, Adam and Grayson.

       He will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather — a steady, loving presence whose dedication and loyalty touched everyone around him.

       In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Zweig, and by his grandparents and the many aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom he shared fond childhood memories.

       A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.  The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at the funeral home.
