Jeanine Rae (Parry) Harris

       Jeanine Rae Harris, age 87 of Porter, IN, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2021 in Valparaiso, IN.  She was born on October 18, 1933 in Porter County to David and Setta (Miller) Parry, both of whom preceded her in death. 
       She is survived by her loving children: Karen Sue (late Fred) Mitchell of Valparaiso, IN, Jim Harris of Porter, IN, and Robert (Veronica) Harris of Mill Valley, CA; her loving grandchildren: Jill (Brooks) Sayer of  Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Kimberly Mitchell of Valparaiso, IN, Griffin Harris of California, and Anny Jiang of Charlotte, NC; by her four treasured great-grandchildren: Maya Sayer, Gianna Sayer, Olivia Sayer, and Jorja Sayer; and by her daughter-in-law, Lin Redner.
       She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Redner, and by her sons, Tom Redner and Mike Redner. 
       Jeanine was a 1955 graduate of Michael Reese School of nursing.  She was employed by St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City for 28 years and retired in 1998. She volunteered countless hours at Franciscan Health in Chesterton and also volunteered for the Red Cross. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 
       Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. Masks are strongly recommended inside the funeral home.
