Jean Alice (Gable) Brandhorst

       Jean Alice Brandhorst, age 83 of Westville, IN, passed away on November 1, 2023.  She was born on August 14, 1940 in Louisville, KY to Elmer and Frieda Gable, both of whom preceded her in death.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Nancy (Donald) Beard of Springfield, OH; her grandchildren: Anthony, Michelle, Melissa, Jennifer, and James; her great-grandchildren: Aaron, Amelia, Isaiah, Emily, and Daxton; her nephew and niece: Michael Jarman of Westville, IN and Debbie (Chad) Rossworn of Westville, IN.

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jackie Lee Brandhorst; her daughter, Katherine Marie; and by her siblings: Sally and Jimmy.

       Jean loved spending time in her yard and tending to her flower garden.  She was meticulous about her house. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
