Jay Foster

Jay Foster, age 78 of Chesterton, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in Chesterton.  He was born on May 23, 1935 in Gary, IN to Reverend James and Mary Foster, both of whom preceded him in death.  On November 28, 1959 he married Marjorie M. Schrader Foster who survives in Chesterton.

Also surviving are two sisters, Susan Whitacre and Judith Toone, both of Tucson, AZ.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  He graduated from Howe Military Academy, Howe, IN in 1953.  He also attended Indiana University.  He was employed as a Structural Steel Draftman by American Bridge Division of US Steel from 1958 to 1981 and later other companies.

Jay is also preceded in death by his two brothers and one niece.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton, 219-926-1309 with Pastor Craig Forewalter officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.  Burial will follow in Chesterton Cemetery.
