Janice M. (Paysk) Sambor

       Janice M Sambor, age 80 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born on December 19, 1945, in Hammond, IN to Stanley and Lottie Pasyk both of whom preceded her in death.

       She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Sambor of Chesterton, IN; her loving daughters, Lisa Vargas of Chesterton, IN and Kellie Sambor of Chesterton, IN; her adoring grandchildren: Jade Vargas, Savanna Vargas and Payton Vargas; her sister, Debbie (Larry) Gasper of Hammond, IN; and sister in law Barb Pasyk of  Lansing, ILL. Wife of her deceased brother Jim Pasyk; and by her many nieces and nephews.

       Janice was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and cross stitching baby blankets for her sisters' childrens' births. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

       A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Saint Patrick's Church 638 N Calumet Rd, Chesterton, IN, with Father Jon Plavcan officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 19, 2026 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St. Chesterton, IN.
