Janet S. Clark, age 88 of Porter, IN, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, at her home. She was born on February 5, 1936 in Hammond, IN to Harold and Christine (Maxwell) Kiser, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving children: Debra (Allen) Swenson of Texas, Greg Clark of North Carolina, Beverly (Matt) Walker of Valparaiso, IN, and Carolyn (Brent) Carpenter of Porter, IN; her grandchildren: Jason, Jeremy, Meghan, Teresa, Lisa, Tim, Amy, Angie, Jacob, Mary, Katie, and Samantha; her great-grandchildren: Emery, Waylen, Ezra, Ian, Ada, Colton, Lily, Collin, Kailyn, Kaius, Kinley, Kennedy, Kassady, Morgan, Hayden, and Odette; and by her twin sister, Jeannine Biesboer.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Clark in 2005.
Janet was a member of Restoration Church in Valparaiso. She was the activities director at several nursing homes in the area. Janet taught Sunday School for generations of children. She loved working with children and was known by many as Grandma Janet. She dedicated her life to caring for others and deeply loved her family and friends. She was also an avid crafter.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 6 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN with Pastor Tim Wanless officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to Restoration Church.
