Janet A. (Little) Bernacet

       Janet A. Bernacet, age 74 of Hobart, IN, passed away on September 2, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1951, in Chicago Heights, IL to William and Anne (Pope) Little, both of whom preceded her in death. 

       She is survived by the love of her life, Miguel A. Bernacet of Hobart, IN; her loving children: Nicole (Jose Mireles) Bernacet of Hobart, IN, Granit (Donna) Kekua of Hawaii, and Robert (Justin Yount) Morales of Portage, IN; her treasured grandchildren: Nicasio Mireles, Kolvin Kekua, Kullen Kekua, Jovi Nazereno and Justin Ige; her two adoring great-grandchildren: Keisen Ige and Pacey Nazereno; and by her brother, Michael (Gayle) Little of Pennsylvania. 

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister and very best friend, Carolyn Medrano.

       Janet loved her profession as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and retired from St. Catherine's in East Chicago, IN. Janet loved playing bingo at the VFW in Lake Station, traveling and socializing. She will forever be remembered as an intelligent and hardworking wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. 

       No service will be held at this time.
